How It Works

Hi! We're a small, independent price tracker. The idea is simple: show the real price of things, every size, every day, so you can buy at the cheaper price.

Where the prices come from

Once a day (around 7am ET) our bot, TheCheaperPriceBot/1.0 (+https://thecheaperprice.com/about/; once-daily price check), reads each brand store's public product feed. That's the same list of products, sizes and prices the store's own website uses. We make a handful of requests per store, with pauses in between.

We save the listed price, the store's "was" price (if it shows one), and whether each size or option is in stock. Then we rebuild this site. Last check: Oct 18, 2026, 10:10 AM ET. First check: Oct 18, 2026.

What the labels mean

What we don't do

Stores we include, and stores we skip

Before adding a store we read its robots.txt and its terms of service. If the terms forbid bots, crawling, scraping or data mining, or if they're ambiguous, we leave the store out, even when its feed is public. Terms last read Oct 18, 2026.
